Beka Finance, the investment banking firm that will control the private equity group Gala Capital after acquiring an additional 44.8% stake, has appointed José Manuel Pérez Huertas as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). From this position, Pérez Huertas will report to the CEO and will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and developing the company’s financial strategy in the Spanish market.
With over 30 years of experience, Pérez Huertas has mainly worked in financial consulting, auditing, and operational management at prominent institutions such as Bankia, Caja Madrid, and Citi. Between 2016 and 2018, he was a partner at Naos Partners and an independent consultant for various entities, including Everwood Capital, Bankinter Luxembourg, and Andbank.
Previously, from 2001 to 2014, he held various roles at Bankia – Caja Madrid, including Director of Wholesale Banking Operational Management and Controller. Before that, he was Operations Director at Citibank’s fund and pension management divisions in Spain.
Pérez Huertas holds a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
