Gala Capital Announces the Successful Launch of Gala Orion Tech, Its New Technology Investment Fund

Madrid / Miami — Gala Capital has successfully launched Gala Orion Tech, a new investment fund focused on technology-enabled companies. The fund has an initial size of €100 million, with plans to scale the vehicle meaningfully over the coming years as investment activity and investor demand continue to grow.

The launch has attracted strong interest from a diverse group of international investors and family offices, including European and Latin American business families, experienced technology entrepreneurs, and US-based investors with a long-term focus on innovation and financial infrastructure. Early backers include, among others, members of the Álvarez family (El Corte Inglés), Grupo Romero, Santa Clara Group, Excel Group, former senior executives from Telefónica and MasOrange, and several international family offices from the US, Europe, and Latin America. The fund is structured with a private-equity mindset, targeting scalable businesses with defensible technology, recurring revenues, and clear paths to profitability.

Gala Orion Tech builds on Gala Capital, the independent investment platform founded by Carlos Tejera, which has completed more than 100 investments and managed over $2 billion across private equity, venture capital, and special situations.

Core focus areas of the new fund include:

  • AI-enabled platforms
  • Digital assets and next-generation financial infrastructure, including stablecoins, payments, and tokenization
  • Cybersecurity and digital trust, supporting secure, scalable digital activity
  • Data-driven businesses with strong distribution and international growth potential

Initial portfolio and momentum

Gala Orion Tech launches with an initial portfolio that reflects this strategy, including investments in companies such as UltrAI (AI-driven financial analytics), Nutrader (technology-enabled trading and market infrastructure), Stablxx (stablecoin and digital asset infrastructure), Slate (data platforms supporting financial decision-making), and Myriad (cybersecurity). Additional transactions are currently under evaluation, particularly in cybersecurity and data-centric businesses.

According to people familiar with the fund, investor demand during the launch phase has exceeded initial expectations, allowing Gala Orion Tech to begin deploying capital immediately while maintaining disciplined selectivity.
